LEGO City 7684 Pig Farm & Tractor

This colourful 256-piece set – LEGO City 7684 Pig Farm & Tractor has plenty of parts to make building enjoyable and absorbing, it’s a welcome addition to the other LEGO farm sets.

Let’s start with the pig pen. It’s a simple structure with 4 support posts and a red roof for shelter. There’s a green grass base and bricks to make a little wall to keep the pigs in. The fence pieces are grey and snap together easily. You can create a simple square structure, or angle the pieces to create all sorts of differently shaped spaces for the pigs to snuffle around in. There are 4 pigs in the set; 3 adults and a piglet. A female farm worker in blue dungarees and a male truck driver in bright green overalls and red peaked cap are also included.

The tractor and trailer are nice builds. The former is dazzling lime green with 2 small front wheels and a further 2 bigger ones at the back; both sets have heavy-tread tyres. There’s room in the cab for 1 driver minifigure. The bright red trailer clips to the back and has two sets of wheels, room for all the pigs, and a sliding rear ramp to get the animals in and out easily.

A couple of thoughtful little accessories finish the set off nicely. Use the broom to keep the pigpen tidy, and keep them well fed with the tiny troughs of fruit and veg. There’s even a water tap and sink to keep them hydrated! Brilliant by itself, this playset becomes even better used with the LEGO City Farm (available separately).
